A Day in Sam's Life

Sam was/had been/went a pretty careless/reckless/thoughtless kid. He often ignored/disregarded/failed to listen his/her/their parents' advice/instructions/warnings. One day, Sam decided/chose/wanted to climb/scale/go up the tallest/biggest/highest tree in the yard/garden/park. He didn't/couldn't/wasn't able to see/realize/understand the danger/risk/peril he was in. As he reached/got to/climbed up to get more info the top, the branch/limb/twig broke/snapped/fell. Sam plummeted/fell/crashed to the ground with a loud/sharp/painful thud/sound/crash.

Sam's New Friend
Sam was having a little down. He wished to have a new buddy to play with. One day, while he was running in the park, he saw something unusual. It was a little being with bright feathers. Sam carefully walked over to the creature and spoke, "Hello! What's your name?" The creature smiled and told Sam, "My name is Lily!" And so, Sam made a new mate. They spent the rest of the day talking together.
Sam was so happy to have found a new friend. He knew that he and Lily would be best friends forever.
